Booking & Promotion for Immersed Magazine

Working as Immersed’s Sole Booker & Promoter has been one of the most rewarding and educational experiences of my career. It’s where I’ve truly learned the ins and outs of music event production, booking, and promotion. This role has allowed me to craft my own show ideas, execute them, and connect with a vibrant community of artists and fans. Booking bands I’ve known for years, while meeting new faces in the DIY music scene, has been an unforgettable part of this journey.

How We Make It Happen:

But it wasn’t just about the music. DIY shows have always been about community, and I wanted Immersed’s events to reflect that. Every show I booked was designed with the idea of mutual aid and grassroots efforts at its core. I didn't just want to promote a night of music—I wanted to connect people to more. Inspired by the way Immersed magazine uses artist interviews and music reviews to draw in readers, I made sure that each show also served a larger purpose. Whether it was resources, volunteer opportunities, fundraisers, or providing meals and supplies, I wanted attendees to leave feeling like they had done more than just enjoy a show. They were part of something.

What started out as just another DIY event now has its own identity. Immersed shows became more than relying on local bands to pull a crowd; they became an essential part of the community—amplifying the spirit of mutual support and collaboration that defines the DIY ethos.

This experience has shaped the foundation of The Bakery. Just like Immersed’s events, we offer ground-up production and promotion for shows and tours. We work with bands, labels, and venues to book shows, design promotional content, and drive ticket sales both in advance and at the door. Whether you're an indie band looking to play your first show or a label looking to support your artists with a full tour, we’ve got the skills, connections, and experience to make it happen.

We have sold out venues in Wilmington, NC. as well as helped local bands grow beyond their cities and led the Immersed team to film a documentary throughout the North East Coast in Fall 2024. These are just a few successes resulting from our work with Immersed Magazine.
